Activatica
Activatica is a Russian-language media initiative primarily focused on video content for social media. The project reaches a monthly audience of 5–25 million users and has over 350,000 subscribers across various social media platforms (with approximately 50% of the audience in Russia, and the other 50% across Ukraine, the EU, the UK, and other countries).
Project’s mission is to cover critical issues where information is systematically suppressed and distorted by Kremlin propaganda. We utilise formats that resonate with internet users, particularly the younger generation in Russia – including shortform videos optimised for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts, as well as documentaries, infographics, and more.

Created in 2014 by journalists & civil activists including Goldman Prize & International Woman of Courage laureate Evgenia Chirikova.

Over 15,000 cases of Ukrainian civilians being kidnapped by Russian security forces have been confirmed—five times the number of recognised political prisoners in Russia. Our pilot documentary “Prisoners” tells the stories of three Ukrainian families who endured lawlessness, torture, and death. Plans are underway for the next 3–4 films in the series, exposing perpetrators and helping human‑rights defenders.
